The Day of Atonement
Leviticus 16 Parallels with Revelation!
Jesus Dressed as High Priest in Revelation
Jesus is the High Priest of Revelation!
Leviticus 16:4
He shall put on the holy linen coat and shall have the linen undergarment on his body, and he shall tie the linen sash around his waist, and wear the linen turban; these are the holy garments.
Revelation 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man,
clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
(“robe” Jesus – Rev 1:13, 19:13, 16,
“golden sash / bands” Rev 1:13, 15:6
robe & Sash – Priest garments, Exo 28:4, Lev 8:7, 16:4)
Jesus is The High Priest – Heb 8:1-11
14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow.
His eyes were like a flame of fire,
15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace,
(Jesus “eyes like a flame of fire” Rev 1:14, 2:18, 19:12)
(“feet like burnished bronze” Rev 1:15, 2:18)
(“refined” Rev 1:15, 3:18)
(“refined” & fire” in the Bible, 1 Cor 3:13-17, Eze 22:18-22, 2 Pet 3:7, 10-12, Isa 33:11-16, Psa 12:6)
and his voice was like the roar of many waters.
7 Angels Dressed with Priestly Garments
Revelation 15:
Seven Angels With Seven Plagues
1 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. 2 And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God 3 and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.
4 Who will not fear you, Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.” 5 After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. 6 Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests.
7 Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
Water on Atonement Day & in Revelation
He shall bathe his body in water and then put them on.
(Jesus connected to “water” in Revelation – Rev 1:15, 7:17, 14:1-3, 22:1, 17)
(Use of “”water in Revelation – Strong’s G5204 – hydōr – Rev 1:15, 7:17, 8:10-11, 11:6, 12:15, 14:2, 16:4-5, 12, 17:1, 15, 19:6, 21:6, 22:1, 17 )
Censer of Fire & Incense on Day of Atonement & in Revelation
Leviticus 16
12 And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from the altar before the LORD, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and he shall bring it inside the veil 13 and put the incense on the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is over the testimony, so that he does not die.
The “Prayers of the Saints” are offered as “Incense” in both the Opening Vision of the 7 Seals & the Opening Vision of the 7 Trumpets! Their “prayers,” pictured as“golden bowls of Incense,” are “offered” “before” “the Throne” in Revelation 5:7-8 & 8:3.
The Saints will have the future amazing opportunity for their prayers to join & participate in “Spirit & Truth” in Both Heavenly Visions of the 7 Seals & 7 Trumpets fulfilling our Father’s beautiful words in the Book of Revelation! If you are a Saint, your Prayers will be “offered” as “Incense” “before the Throne!” WOW!!!
➠ Revelation 5:6-8, 7 Seals Opening Vision
“ And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”
➠ Revelation 8:2-5, 7 Trumpets Opening Vision
2 Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, 4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. 5 Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
East
Leviticus 16:14
And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the front of the mercy seat on the east side,
Revelation 16:12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.
Sprinkle Blood 7 Times (Bull)
Leviticus 16:
14 and in front of the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.
Does this represent the 7 Trumpets?
Does this Represent the 7 Vials of Wrath occurring in the 7th Trumpet?
Sprinkle Blood 7 Times (Goat)
Leviticus 16
15 “Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people and bring its blood inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it over the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat. 16 Thus he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleannesses of the people of Israel and because of their transgressions, all their sins. And so he shall do for the tent of meeting, which dwells with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.
Does this represent the 7 Trumpets?
Does this Represent the 7 Vials of Wrath occurring in the 7th Trumpet?
No one Allowed to Enter Temple until Atonement is Finished in Leviticus & in Revelation
Leviticus 16:17
No one may be in the tent of meeting from the time he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place until he comes out and has made atonement for himself and for his house and for all the assembly of Israel.
Horns of the Altar in Leviticus, Zechariah & Revelation
Leviticus 16:18
Then he shall go out to the altar that is before the LORD and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. 19 And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it and consecrate it from the uncleannesses of the people of Israel.
Revelation 9:13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.
Zechariah 9
1 The burden of the word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach and Damascus is its resting place. For the LORD has an eye on mankind and on all the tribes of Israel, 2 and on Hamath also, which borders on it, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. 3 Tyre has built herself a rampart and heaped up silver like dust, and fine gold like the mud of the streets. 4 But behold, the Lord will strip her of her possessions and strike down her power on the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire.
5 Ashkelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited; 6 a mixed people shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of Philistia. 7 I will take away its blood from its mouth, and its abominations from between its teeth; it too shall be a remnant for our God; it shall be like a clan in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
8 Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again march over them, for now I see with my own eyes.
The Coming King of Zion
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall speak peace to the nations; his rule shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.
12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double. 13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made Ephraim its arrow. I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior’s sword.
The Lord Will Save His People
14 Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will sound the trumpet and will march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.
15 The LORD of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour, and tread down the sling stones, and they shall drink and roar as if drunk with wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar. 16 On that day the LORD their God will save them, as the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land. 17 For how great is his goodness, and how great his beauty! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the young women.
Wilderness?
Leviticus 16:20
“And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place and the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall present the live goat. 21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the people of Israel, and all their transgressions, all their sins. And he shall put them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness. 22 The goat shall bear all their iniquities on itself to a remote area, and he shall let the goat go free in the wilderness.
Revelation 12:
12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” 13 When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.
15 Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
Burn with Fire
Leviticus 16
25 And the fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar. 26 And he who lets the goat go to Azazel shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp. 27 And the bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp. Their skin and their flesh and their dung shall be burned up with fire. 28 And he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.
Revelation 17:16
And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire,
Revelation 18:8
For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
Revelation 18:9
And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning.
Revelation 18:18
and cried out as they saw the smoke of her burning, “What city was like the great city?”
Revelation 19:20
And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Revelation 21:8
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Leviticus 16
30 For on this day shall atonementbe made for you to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the LORD from all your sins. 31 It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute forever. 32 And the priest who is anointed and consecrated as priest in his father’s place shall make atonement, wearing the holy linen garments.
33 He shall make atonementfor the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonementfor the tent of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonementfor the priestsand for all the people of the assembly. 34 And this shall be a statute forever for you, that atonementmay be made for the people of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” And Moses did as the LORD commanded
The superiority and all encompassing sacrifice of Jesus Christ the Lamb of God slain before the Foundation of the world finished all the sacrificial sacrifice types in REVELATION perfectly.
Remember Jesus redemptive name, THE LAMB SO REPEATEDLY USED IN THIS BOOK.
THE LAMB BOUGHT US, WASHED US AND MADE US PRIESTS AND KINGS AND AVENGED FOR US WITH A MATCHLESS JUDGEMENT.
AMEN,
HALLELUJAH.
AMEN.
It is wonderful to remind christians to keep the faith and trust.
I was always looking for someone who can explain the book of Revelations scripture. This is very interesting and important to know all about as a true Christian believer in Jesus Christ. Thank you pastor Christopher
Excellent Christopher so very few ministries cover this important stuff.
