  2. Hi does anyone have an interpretation for the 5 months of this verse: Revelation 9:5 “New International Version
    They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes.”

This time of torment will involve creatures (known as Locusts) that are currently locked away in a place called the Abyss. When they are set free, they will come with the power and the authority to make men’s lives miserable for a period of five months. They will have the capacity, but will be denied the privilege of killing anyone. Their torment will be so overbearing that those affected will not only want, but, seek after death only to be denied even suicide!

      I’ve always felt it was one of those things like when we were kids . . . our parents made us endure something for a while . . . sitting in a corner . . . pulling weeds in a garden . . . doing without our toys, etc. God will make all the world endure these “bugs” for 5 months, other than those who are sealed . . . the Jews. And course . . . it specifically mentions “men” so it will be 144,000 Jewish men who are not susceptible to these “bugs”. I believe it will be the first part of God showing a “separation” and “preferment” by Him of His people. Later on . . . preferential treatment will come to Christians . . . and when it does . . . the satanic world will then begin to much more seriously single out Jews and Christians for persecution. These “bugs” are just how God gets that persecution ball rolling.
