Revelation 8:10-11
10 Then the 3rd angel sounded:
& a great STAR FELL from heaven, burning like a torch,
& it fell on a 1/3 of the RIVERS & on the SPRINGS OF WATER.
11 The name of the star is Wormwood.
A 1/3 of the WATERS became Wormwood,
& many men died from the WATER,
because it was made BITTER.

“I will utterly SWEEP AWAY EVERYTHING from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. 3 “I will sweep away MAN & BEAST; I will sweep away the BIRDS of the heavens and the FISH of the sea, and the RUBBLE with the WICKED. I will CUT OFF MANKIND from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord.

The imagery of the 3rd trumpet in Revelation 8:10–11, where a great star named Wormwood falls from the sky and turns a third of the waters bitter, is both striking and sobering.
