 Study Guide & Scriptural Cross-reference

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

“Holy one,” “the true one” & “Key of David.”

“holy one” – Strong’s G40, hagios – occurs 229 times in New Covenant writings. The KJV translates Strong’s G40 in the following manner: holy (161x), saints (61x), Holy One (4x), miscellaneous (3x). Strong’s defines hagios as sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially, consecrated):—(most) holy (one, thing), saint.
Hagios occurs times 23 times in Revelation 3:7, 4:8, 5:8, 6:10, 8:3-4, 11:2, 11:18, 13:7, 13:10, 14:10, 12, 16:6, 17:6, 18:20, 24, 19:8, 20:6, 9, 21:2, 10-11, 19.

“Open Door” = “Key of David!”

Isaiah 22:22
And I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David. He shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

“I know…” Jesus Knows…!

In ALL 7 Letters, Jesus expresses complete Awareness of the 7 Churches condition, good and lacking when He says to each, “I Know…”

This gives deeper understand the meaning of the words,  Jesus “walks in the midst of the 7 golden lampstands” Rev 1:12-13, Rev 2:1.

WORKS & the Seven Churches

Strong’s G2041 “Ergon,”  appears 176 times and is translated work (152x), deed (22x), doing (1x), labour (1x).
“Ergon” appears 19 times in Revelation!
“Ergon” appears 11 times to the 7 Churches: Rev 2:2, 5-6, 19, 22-23, 26, 3:1, 2, 8, 15 and 8 times following: Rev 9:20, 14:3, 15:3, 16:11, 18:6, 20:12-13, 22:12.

LOW “WORKS”
Ephesus – Rev 2:4-5 “…you have abandoned the love you had at first.Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.”Love for Jesus is Equated to WORKS!
Rev 2:6 “you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.”

“NOT COMPLETE” “WORKS”
Sardis – Rev 3:1“‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.”

“LUKEWARM” WORKS
Laodicea – Rev 3:15-16 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!” 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

“WORKS  EXCEED the 1st”

Thyatira  – “Works” mentioned 3 times!
Rev:2:19, “your latter works exceed the first.”
Rev 2:23, “I will give to each of you according to your works.”
Rev 2:26-29, Reward for Keeping Jesus’ works until the end!

WORKS COMPLETE!
Philadelphia  “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.

The Corrupt Doctrines of “Once Saved always saved” & “Saved by Grace” is NOT compatible with Jesus’ repeated consistent words Judging the Churches based on the level of their “Works!”
Is the Doctrine of compatible with Jesus’ repeated consistent words to the Churches?
Brings new meaning to the words at James 2:17, “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” & James 2:26, “so also faith apart from works is dead.”

Jesus words to Ephesus also reinforces, “that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works” James 2:22. (For Context consider James 2:14-22)
Acts 26:20 – Repentance in connection with Deeds or Works
Just a couple of references to “Works” in the Bible: Titus 2:14, 3:8, 14, 1 Peter 2:11-12, 2 Peter 1:3-8, Eph 2:10.

Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

◄Jesus Christ through the Book of Revelation exposes the “Jews” who “lie” “Synagogue of Satan!”►
Jesus mentions the “Jews” who “lie” “Synagogue of Satan” to both approved churches, Smyrna and Philadelphia. Both Christ approved Churches are “beaten,” “slandered” and in “prison” by the “Synagogue of Satan!”
What is the only Religion on earth today and in the past that has Synagogues?
The Answer is Obvious!

Jesus repeats the Same words to both Churches He Approves and offers no reproof or discipline – Philadelphia, Revelation 3:9
Biblical Definition of a REAL Jew: Romans 2:29, Deuteronomy 30:6

➥ Fake Jews include all Jews who reject Jesus: 1 John 2:22-23, 1 John 4:2-3 ,2 John 1:7,10
➥ Over 95% of Jews who Live in the State of Israel & around the world reject Jesus Christ as the Messiah and are still waiting for another messiah.
➥ YHWH’s  Views of the Modern State of  Israel as “the Great City” & “Sodom & Egypt” Revelation 11:8:
➥ In the 7th Vial of WRATH at Rev 16:17-19, YHWH says in the future He will SPLIT the  the “Great City,” Modern State of Israel into “3 parts!”

➥ The “8th King” or “Little Horn” who is “Anti-Christ” will make his home in the Modern State of Israel according to Daniel 11:36-45.
➥ The Star of David does not exist in the Bible. The Hexagram within a circle is the historic method to conjure & summon Demons. The Rothschild’s are responsible for popularizing this satanic conjuring tool on the State of Israel Flag in 1948 and successfully selling it to the Laimstream Twiststianity Churches to adopt as a symbol from YHWH.

All one needs to do is do an Image Search on the “Star of Remphan” of Acts 7:43 to see how the Devil has Corrupted Laimstream Twistianity Churches with the historic calling card of the Demons!
➥ Modern Israel has Replaced YHWH’s words, the Torah & Biblical Prophets with the demonically conjured Babylonian inspired TALMUD.

In contrast, according to Revelation 21:1-7, NEW JERUSALEM is the Real Hope of the Future!
New Jerusalem comes “down from God out of heaven” (Rev 21:2, 3:12), NOT from the Earth.
➥ Will YHWH Bless a nation that has forgotten Him, does not keep His commands & rejects His Son? Only in the Land of the Devil. May YHWH bring the “Curses” on this Disobedient Oppressive Blood Guilty Nation described at Deuteronomy 28-32.➥ 1 John 5:19 – “The whole world IS lying in the power of the wicked one,” Including Lamestream Twistianity & the Modern State of Israel.

Questions from Revelation that expose the “Synagogue of Satan:”

If you can not answer or deal with any of these questions you are part of and support the “Synagogue of Satan” “Jews who are not but lie!”)

➥ 1) At Revelation 11:8, how does YHWH think about the land (Jerusalem) “where out lord was crucified?”
Revelation 11:8
“and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.”
YHWH says the City of Jerusalem is “Spiritually called SODOM & EGYPT!”

➥ 2) Who specifically are “those who say that they are Jews and are not but lie” of Revelation 2:9 & 3:9?

➥ 3) Who are the “Jews and are not but lie” Jesus is speaking about that falsely claim to be loved by YHWH?
Revelation 3:9
“Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.”

➥ 4) Who are the “Synagogue of Satan” “Jews” who “lie” who will have to “bow down before” the feet of Philadelphia? Revelation 3:9

➥ 5) What is the spirit saying to the 7 Churches of Revelation when Jesus says the only 2 of 7 approved churches (Smyrna & Philadelphia) are both being “beaten,” “slandered” and put in “prison” by the “Jews who are not, but lie” “but are a Synagogue of Satan?” Revelation 2:9-10, 3:8-9 and Mark 13:9

➥ 6) Who is the “Synagogue of Satan” of Revelation 2:9 and 3:9? What is the only Religion on Earth that has Synagogues?

➥ 7) Does New Jerusalem come from the city of Jerusalem (spiritually called Sodom & Egypt Rev 11:8) on earth or “down from YHWH out of heaven?” Revelation 3:12, 21:2

➥ 8) Is the “Star of David” from YHWH in the Bible or is it the Historic calling card to conjure demons?

➥ 9) Do Jews who reject Jesus meet the Biblical Definition of Antichrist at 1 John 2:22-23, 4:2-3 and 2 John 1:7-10?

➥ 10) At 2 John 1:7-10, how should biblical believers treat “anyone who comes to you and does not bring this teaching” on the Antichrist?
And what are the consequences for ignoring “this teaching?”

➥ 11) YHWH calls the city of Jerusalem “where their Lord was crucified” “the great city which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt at Revelation 11:8. In the 7th Vial of Wrath, what sort of destruction does YHWH bring to “the great city” Jerusalem at Revelation 16:19?

➥ 12) Questions about the 2 Witnesses from Revelation 11:
A) Why are the 2 witnesses Prophesying in the city of Jerusalem? Rev 11:8
B) Why are the 2 Witnesses “clothed in sackcloth” in the city of Jerusalem?
C) From YHWH’s perspective, why is it necessary for the 2 Witnesses to “finish their testimony” in the city of Jerusalem?
D) Who in the city of Jerusalem wants to harm and kill them? Rev 11:5

E) Who in city of Jerusalem refuse to “let them be placed in a tomb?” Rev 11:9
F) Who are the “enemies” of the 2 Witnesses that “watched them” as “they went up to heaven in a cloud” in the City of Jerusalem? Rev 11:12
G) Who and why is YHWH killing in the city of Jerusalem when He causes “a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake?”

10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

What is the “Hour of Trial” (or “testing”) “that is going to come upon the Whole Earth” in Revelation 10:3?

Jesus told the Church of Philadelphia:
➥ Revelation 3:10
“Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial (“hour of testing”) that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.”

➥ What Event in Revelation “is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth?”
➥ How is the “Hour of Trial” Different from the Great Tribulation?

Summary, Conclusion & Bottom Line

The Key is to Identify what Event in Revelation comes upon the “whole World.”
The “Hour of Trial” that comes upon the “Whole World” is Not:
➥ Not – the Great Tribulation (only happens to Believers) see below.
➥ Not – the 1st – 4th Seals (only 4th part of earth) see below.
➥ Not – the 1st – 6th Trumpets (only 1/3 of the earth) see below.
The “Hour of Trial” that comes upon the “Whole World” can only be the Global Event of the 7 Bowls of Wrath occurring During the 6th Seal & 7th Trumpet. see below.

What Event in Revelation “is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth?”

Ruling out What the “Hour of Trial” is Not…

► Can Not be the Great Tribulation

The “hour of trial” can not be Great Tribulation because Matthew 24:15-22 and Daniel 11:31-34 both identify this tribulation to be for only believers and not the “whole world.”

► Can Not be 1st – 5th Seals

The “hour of trial” can not be the 1st – 4th Seals because Revelation 6:8 says “a 4th part of the earth.”
The “hour of trial” can not be the 5th Seal because this is where the “Brothers” are “killed” to “complete” the “number” (144,000). This is the Great Tribulation!

► Can Not be the 1 – 6th Trumpets

The “hour of trial” can not be the 1st – 6th Trumpets because these plagues or curses only happen to 1/3 of the earth or human kind.
➥ 1st Trumpet – 1/3rd Earth & Trees Burnt – Rev 8:7.
➥ 2nd Trumpet – 1/3rd Sea Blood, 1/3rd Sea Creatures Die & 1/3rd Ships Destroyed – Rev 8:8.
➥ 3rd Trumpet – 1/3rd Rivers & Springs turn to Wormwood – Rev 8:10.

➥ 4th Trumpet – 1/3rd Sun, Moon & Stars Dark – Rev 8:12.
➥ 5th Trumpet – is torment only for the “men without the seal of God.” Rev 9:4.
➥ 6th Trumpet – 1/3rd of Mankind Killed – Rev 9:14.

The “Hour of Trial” = 7 Bowls of WRATH

► This only leaves the 6th Seal and the 7th Trumpet!
Both the 6th Seal and the 7th Trumpet are the time when the Global Event of God’s WRATH comes upon the whole world!
➥ 6th Seal – Revelation 6:12, 16-17

I watched as he opened the sixth seal…16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
➥ 7th Trumpet – Revelation 11:15, 18
The 7th angel sounded his trumpet, …18 The nations were angry, and your wrath has come.

7 Bowls of Wrath – Event for “Whole Earth!”

➥ 1st Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – Sores for 100% of Earth who took the mark of the beast, Rev 16:2
➥ 2nd Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% “Sea turns to blood” & 100% “Sea Creatures died, Rev 16:3.
➥ 3rd Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% “Rivers & Springs” became “Blood,” Rev 16:4.
➥ 4th Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% of Earth is “scorched” by the “sun,” Rev 16:

➥ 6th Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% of Earth’s Global Combined Military is Destroyed, Rev 16:14-16 & 19:15-21.
➥ 7th Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% “Cities of the Nations fell”, Rev 16:19.
➥ 7th Bowl of WRATH = “Whole Earth” – 100% “Islands” & “Mountains” “no longer found,” Rev 16:20.

Summary, Conclusion & Bottom Line

The Key is to Identify what Global Event in Revelation comes upon the “whole World.”
The “Hour of Trial” that comes upon the “Whole World” can only be the Global Events of the 7 Bowls of Wrath occurring During the 6th Seal & 7th Trumpet!
The “Hour of Trial” that comes upon the “Whole World” is Not:
Not – The Great Tribulation which only happens to Believers.
Not – the 1st – 4th Seals which kill only a 4th part of earth.
Not – the 1st – 6th Trumpets which only happens to 1/3 of the earth.

Difference Between “The Hour of Trial” Versus “The Great Tribulation”

The Great Tribulation is specifically dealing with a limited group, “Jerusalem” (Luke 21:20), or “Judea” (Luke 21:21), or the “Holy City” (Revelation 11:1-2), whereas the “Hour of Trial” comes upon the “whole world.”
What event in the Book of Revelation comes upon the “entire world” to “try those who dwell on the earth?
Possibilities:

1)Beginning of Birth Pains or Seals 1-4 where 1/4th of the Earth is Killed.
2) Trumpets 1-4 where God Reduces production by 1/3rd – Trees, Sea, Sea Creatures, Ships, Rivers, Springs, Sun, Moon, Stars and all Grass in Trumpet 1.
3) Judgment of world based on how they treated Christ’s Brothers – Matt 25:31-46.

4) Hour of Trial coming upon the whole world could involve the Beast, Image & Mark of Revelation 13:8, 15-18
5) The Harvest & 7 Vials of Wrath of Revelation 14, 15 & 16 may be more an hour of Judgment rather than the hour of Trial.
What we do know for sure is the Hour of Trial is NOT the Great Tribulation which most get confused.

For more detailed info on the Great Tribulation:
Jesus describes the Great Tribulation in detail at Matthew 24:15-18, Luke 21:20-24 & Marc 13:14-23.
Revelation speaks about the Great Tribulation at Revelation 11:1-2. Compare with Luke 21:24.

pillar in temple” compare with Revelation 21:14

“New Jerusalem” & Philadelphia

Revelation 21 offers an entire chapter about New Jerusalem which extends to Revelation 22:5!
Why does YHWH use the adjective “New?”
Where does New Jerusalem come from? Answer at Revelation 21:2
What are Scriptural Synonyms for New Jerusalem?  Answer at Revelation 21:2-3 9-10 “Holy City,”Bride,” “Dwelling place of God.” “Wife of the Lamb,” “a great high mountain.”
What is New Jerusalem shaped as? Answer at Revelation 21:16
What is the Size of New Jerusalem? Answer at Revelation 21:16
What is the measurement of New Jerusalem’s wall? Answer at Revelation 21:17
What is the temple of New Jerusalem? Answer at Revelation 21:22

Most in Lamestream Twistianity are completely disconnected and  unaware of New Jerusalem, or have heard the wo but couldn’t tell you anything about New Jerusalem.
According to Hebrews 11:8-10, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, “were looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.”

Galatians 4:26; Hebrews 11:10; 12:22–24; 13:14

In Revelation 21:1 God does a complete make-over of heaven and earth (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3:12–13).

The New Jerusalem will be fantastically huge. John records that the city is nearly 1,400 miles long, and it is as wide and as high as it is long—a perfect cube (Revelation 21:15–17). The city will also be dazzling in every way. It is lighted by the glory of God (verse 23). Its twelve foundations, bearing the names of the twelve apostles, are “decorated with every kind of precious stone” (verse 19). It has twelve gates, each a single pearl, bearing the names of the twelve tribes of Israel (verses 12 and 21). The street will be made of pure gold (verse 21).

The New Jerusalem will be a place of unimagined blessing. The curse of the old earth will be gone (Revelation 22:3). In the city are the tree of life “for the healing of the nations” and the river of life (verses 1–2). It is the place that Paul spoke of: “In the coming ages [God] might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). The New Jerusalem is the ultimate fulfillment of all God’s promises. The New Jerusalem is God’s goodness made fully manifest.

Who are the residents of the New Jerusalem? The Father and the Lamb are there (Revelation 21:22). Angels are at the gates (verse 12). But the city will be filled with God’s redeemed children. The New Jerusalem is the righteous counter to the evil Babylon (Revelation 17), destroyed by God’s judgment (Revelation 18).

The wicked had their city, and God has His. To which city do you belong? Babylon the Great or the New Jerusalem? If you believe that Jesus, the Son of God, died and rose again and have asked God to save you by His grace, then you are a citizen of the New Jerusalem. “God raised [you] up with Christ and seated [you] with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).

You have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade” (1 Peter 1:4). If you have not yet trusted Christ as your Savior, then we urge you to receive Him. The invitation is extended: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Revelation 22:17).

REWARD

1 other occurrence in Rev 13:9-10

According to Jesus’ Parable of the Sower, SEEING, HEARING, REMEMBERING, PERCEIVING, UNDERSTANDING God’s Words is EQUATED with PRODUCING FRUIT!.
According to Jesus, True Hearing, Seeing, Perceiving & Understanding is “Small” (Matt 13:31-32) “Secret” (Matt 13:11) & “Hidden” ( Matt 13:33-35, 44).

Parable of the Sower

➥ Parable of the Sower Jesus uses word “hear” 12 times! Matt 13:9, 13-23, 43. Consider Matt 13:3-23 for context.
First occurrence at Matthew 13:9 after Jesus lists 4 scenarios :
1) Birds devoured seeds along PATH,
2) Seeds along ROCKY GROUND were scorched by sun and withered away, 3) THORNS choked seeds among them,
4) GOOD SOIL PRODUCES 100, 60 & 30.

Matthew 13:9-17, 35 Purpose of Parables is for Jesus to impart the “hidden” “secrets of the kingdom” to those He considers worthy verses those who remain blind and deaf worshiping God in vanity & name only.
Not Hearing, Not Seeing, Not Understanding, Not Perceiving –  Matt 13:14-15, 19, 22,
Jesus is quoting from Isaiah 6:8-11. As for the future fulfillment compare Isaiah 6:11 with the 7th Vial of Wrath at Revelation 16:17, 19.
Fruitful Hearing Matt 13:23

BlESSINGS & HEALING for Hearing, Seeing, Perceiving & Understanding “secrets of the Kingdom” Matt 13:16-17, 11, 15.
Jesus lists what PREVENTS see from falling on Good Soil and Producing:
1) PATH = Devil snatches away – Matt 13:19
2) ROCKY GROUND = Tribulation & Persecution on account of Word & immediately falls away, Matt 13:20-21
3) THORN = cares of the world & deceitfulness of riches choke the word, Matt 13:22

In contrast, Jesus equates GOOD SOIL & Hearing & Understanding with PRODUCING FRUIT – 100, 60 & 30, Matt 13:23.
According to Jesus, True Hearing, Seeing, Perceiving & Understanding is “Small” (Matt 13:31-32) “Secret” (Matt 13:11) & “Hidden” ( Matt 13:33-35, 44).
Jesus Privately explains the Parable of the Sower to his disciples at Matthew 13:-36-43

➥ Mark 8:17-18, 21, REMEMBERING, Hard Hearts, Perceiving & Understanding Mark 8:13-21

Positive Qualities

To 5 of the 7 Letters to the Churches Jesus Knows, recognizes & reinforces qualities or conditions He has judged POSITIVE and mandatory for “Overcomers” or “Conquerors!”
2 of the 7 Churches, Sardis & Laodicea, received NO Positive reinforcement.

Summary of POSITIVE Qualities:

1.➥ Ephesus – Rev 2:2-3, 6 – Works, toil, patient endurance, cannot bear those who are evil, tested false apostles, enduring patiently, bearing up for my name’s sake, not grow weary, hate the works of Nicolaitans.

3.➥ Pergamum – 2:13 – Hold fast my name, did not deny my faith even in days of Antipas
4.➥ Thyatira – Rev 2:19 – Works, love, faith, service, patient endurance, latter works exceed the first.

5.➥ Sardis – NOTHING Positive (Revelation 3:4, yet some at Sardis worthy)
6.➥ Philadelphia – Rev 3:8, 10 – Little power yet kept my word, not denied name, kept my word about patient endurance. (ALL POSITIVE! NO Reproof, Discipline or call to Repentance Revelation 3:19)
7.➥ Laodicea – NOTHING Positive

Reproof, Discipline & Zealous Repentance!

In 5 of the 7 Letters to the Churches, Jesus Provides “REPROVE” & “DISCIPLINE
with a call to REPENTANCE.
PURPOSE = Rev 3:19 “Those whom I LOVE, I REPROVE & DISCIPLINE, so be ZEALOUS & REPENT.”
Only 2 of the 7 Churches, Smyrna & Philadelphia received no reprove or discipline.
5 of the 7 Churches needed to Repent of Jesus’ reprove & discipline or be destroyed by Jesus personally.

His reprove & discipline to these 5 Churches are:
➥ Ephesus – Rev 2:4-5 – abandoned the love you had at first.
➥ Pergamum – 2:14-15 – Teaching of Balaam, eating food sacrificed to idols, practicing sexual immorality & teaching of Nicolatians.
➥ Thyatira – Rev 2:20, 24 – Tolerate Jezebel, practice sexual immorality, eat food sacrificed to idols & learned the deep things of Satan.

➥ Sardis – Rev 3:1-3 – Reputation for being alive but dead, Wake up, strengthen what remains and is about to die, have not found your works complete in the sight of my God,
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent.
➥ Laodicea – Rev 3:15-18 – I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot, lukewarm, for you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

Consequences for Non-Repentance

To 5 of the 7 Churches Jesus Provides DEADLY CONSEQUENCES for NOT ZEALOUSLY REPENTING of His REPROVE & DISCIPLINE :
Jesus states His PURPOSE of Deadly Consequences in Revelation 2:23 “ALL the CHURCHES WILL KNOW that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.”
➥ Ephesus – Rev 2:5, “Remove your Lampstand.”
➥ Pergamum – 2:16, “War against them with the sword of my mouth.”

➥ Thyatira – Rev 2:20-23, “throw her onto a sickbed,” “throw into great tribulation,” & I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works.”

➥ Laodicea – Rev 3:16, ” I will spit you out of my mouth.”
Rev 3:19 “Those whom I love, I reprove & discipline, so be zealous & repent.”

WORKS & the Seven Churches

Jesus speaks of “works” 11 times to 5 of the 7 Churches! Rev 2:2, 5-6, 19, 22-23, 26, 3:1, 2, 8, 15
Revelation goes on to mention “works” an additional 8 times. Rev 9:20, 14:3, 15:3, 16:11, 18:6, 20:12-13, 22:12.
According to Strong’s G2041, the Greek word for “works,””Ergon,” appears 176 times and is translated as work (152x), deed (22x), doing (1x), labor (1x).”Ergon” appears 19 times in Revelation!

LOW “WORKS”
Ephesus – Rev 2:4-5 “…you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.”
Love for Jesus is Equated with WORKS!

Philadelphia8 “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, that no one is able to shut.

The Doctrines of “Once Saved always saved” & “Saved by Grace” is NOT compatible with Jesus’ repeated consistent words, Judging the 7 Churches based on the level of their “Works!”
James 2:17, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead”
James 2:26, “So also faith apart from works is dead.”

James 2:2 “that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works.”
(consider James 2:14-22 for context)
Acts 26:20 – “They should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.”
Just a couple more references to “Works” in the Bible: Titus 2:14, 3:8, 14, 1 Peter 2:11-12, 2 Peter 1:3-8, Eph 2:10.

Believers must follow ALL the instructions to all 7 Churches to “Overcome!”
Failure in any 1 area means failure to “Overcome,” “Conquer” or gain “Victory.” (See Ephesus – Rev 2:1-7)
Jesus’ high standard for Overcomers is NOT taught or highlighted in most of today’s Churches.

“Overcome,” Strong’s G3528, nikau, occurs 28 Times in the New Covenant writings. The KJV translates Strong’s G3528 in the following manner: overcome (24x), conquer (2x), prevail (1x), and get victory (1x). Strong’s definition is, 1) to conquer, a) to carry off the victory, come off victorious, i) of Christ, victorious over all His foes, ii) of Christians, that hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and temptations and persecutions.

CONSEQUENCES for NON-REPENTANCE = None!

REWARD = Rev 3:12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.

Rev 3:13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

POSITIVE= NOTHING positive! Wow!
NEGATIVE – Reproof & Discipline (Rev 3:19)
Rev 3:15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
CONSEQUENCES for NON-REPENTANCE = Rev 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

REWARD = Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Jesus’ incredibly high standard of requirements for Overcomers can be clearly seen in His letter to the Church of Ephesus.
Look at the Amazing Qualities of Ephesus which were NOT ENOUGH to meet Jesus’ high standard of requirements for Overcomers:

Fantastic Qualities of Ephesus:

Revelation 2:2-5
➥ 2 “I know your works, your labor & your patient endurance”
➥ 2 “You cannot bear with those who are evil”
➥ 2 “tested those who call themselves apostles…& found them to be false”
➥ 3 “I know you are enduring patiently”
➥ 3 “Bearing up for my name’s sake”
➥ 3 “You have not grown weary”
➥ 6 “You hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.”

Christs Reproof and Consequences for Non-Repentance:

Revelation 2:4-5
4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.
6 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Although Ephesus had all these amazing qualities it was NOT ENOUGH to meet Jesus’ high standard of requirements for Overcomers or Conquerors!

JESUS’ HIGH STANDARD EPHESUS LESSONS:

➥ 1) Jesus requires the complete or full package in order to meet His high standard to overcome! Failure in any 1 area outlined in Jesus’ 7 letters means failure to “overcome!” Jesus is not going to allow any overcomer to be weak or insufficient in any area He lists.
➥ 2) All of Ephesus’ good qualities would not cover, excuse, outweigh, or make up for their abandonment of 1st Love works in Rev 2:4-5.

➥ 3) We learn from Ephesus that God not only requires your best, but he will also reject anyone’s second best. Jesus’ words to Ephesus repeat and emphasizes the requirements of the 1st and Greatest Commandment in Matthew 22:37-38 & Deut 6:5!
➥ 4) There was no grace, salvation, or reward for Ephesus unless they repented. There is no “once saved always saved” for Ephesus or any of the 7 Churches. Refusal to repent in any area of Jesus’ standards means disqualification!

Not only are most Believers completely unaware of Jesus’ REQUIREMENTS to “Overcome” or “Conquer” but are also oblivious to His Incredible HIGH STANDARD to meet the goal of Overcoming or Conquering as outlined in His letters to the 7 Churches of Revelation!

SOLUTION – WHAT WE NEED TO DO

1) ”Hear what the Spirit says to the Churches”
Reading, Studying & Rereading!
A person must first understand what Jesus requires of them outlined in the 7 Churches. Reading & Studying Jesus’ 7 Churches is an absolute must! We must understand what He requires of us and His standard for approving or disapproving us as overcomers or conquerors. 7 Times Jesus concludes each letter to the Churches with, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” We must listen to what He repeats 7 times!

2) Strive to meet ALL of Jesus’ Requirements
No fear or self-denial about our lacking qualities
Once a believer understands Jesus’ requirements, the next most important challenge is to meet ALL His standards. Ephesus has so many good qualities but there was an issue that was going to prevent them from overcoming if they did not repent, despite all their good qualities. You and I must not be afraid to identify our weaknesses and work aggressively to change, strengthen and correct our shortcomings. It will literally mean life or death.

3) We must Promote, Advertise, Market, or Preach Jesus’ high standard for Overcomers so that other Christians are not in the dark as to what Jesus expects and requires of them! Jesus High Standard for overcomers is not taught in today’s modern Churches we call Lamestream Twistianity!

True followers of Jesus came through The Church of Philadelphia, and represents the TRUE “spiritual lineage” of all faithful followers of Jesus’ leadership and teachings while He walked the Earth His 33 years.

First, I like what you’ve done here. And here are some thoughts on a specific topic. I’m guessing that you do realize that the Greek word synagoge does mean assembly and that the ‘church’ is an assembly. In James 2:2 most English translations put ‘assembly’ instead of synagogue despite what the Greek says. I think it’s selective translating. Yes there is a ‘syngogue’ of satan and in the case of the letters to the ‘churches’ ekklesia, synagogue and Jews are used in the same sentence. Also in the Septuagint, the word ekklesia is used many times in reference to the assembly of Israel. I would love to see both these words simply translated as assembly since ‘synagogue of satan’ paints synagogue and the Jewish people in a very negative light when there are actually many Jewish believers in Yeshua, and Jewish people who do good and love YHWH, but whose eyes are not open yet.
