Zechariah 13 Connection to the Book of Revelation!
Zechariah 13 – God Destroys 2/3rds of All Christians!
Will you overcome God’s refinement or be killed?
➥ Zechariah 13:8
“In the whole land, declares the LORD, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left alive.”
God’s 2/3rds ratio of destruction at Zechariah 13:8 is very similar to Christ’s personal and violent destruction of 5 of the 7 Churches of Revelation 2 & 3!
God’s stated purpose for killing so many is refinement to achieve God’s purified people!
God’s refined people is the Great Multitude of Revelation 7:9-17!

“I will bring the third part into the fire, And will refine them as silver is refined, And will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say, ‘It is my people;’ And they will say, ‘Yahweh is my God.'”
All 14 Chapters of Zechariah provides details and/or foreshadow the “Day of YHWH” as well as Christ’s 1,000-year reign! Zechariah 1-4 detail Christ building His Bride Temple of New Jerusalem with the 144,000 priests, kings & judges. Zechariah 4 partly described the 2 witnesses of Rev 11. Zechariah 5-11 describe YHWH restoring New Jerusalem after the genocide during the Great Tribulation as well as God’s judgment on the wicked. Zechariah 14 describes amazing details during Christ’s 1,000 year reign!

Zechariah 13:1-2
God removes idols permanently from mankind!
1 “In that day there will be a spring opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.
2 It will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of Hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will no more be remembered; and also I will cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.
Zechariah 13:3-7
Prophecy has ceased during Christ’s Millennial reign!
3 It will happen that, when anyone still prophesies, then his father and his mother who bore him will tell him, ‘You must die, because you speak lies in the name of Yahweh;’ and his father and his mother who bore him will stab him when he prophesies.
4 It will happen in that day, that the prophets will each be ashamed of his vision, when he prophesies; neither will they wear a hairy mantle to deceive:
5 but he will say, ‘I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for I have been made a bondservant from my youth.’
6 One will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’
7 “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, and against the man who is close to me,” says Yahweh of Hosts. Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; And I will turn my hand against the little ones.
Zechariah 13:8-9
God achieves His purified people by cleansing / refining & testing His people by cutting off 2/3rds!
God’s refined people is the Great Multitude of Revelation 7:9-17!
