Understanding Psalm 97 Through the Book of Revelation!

Psalms 97 is part of 4 consecutive Chapters (Psalm 96-99) that details the time of the 7th Trumpet when God reigns!
In the 7th Trumpet at Revelation 11:15, the Angels in heaven announce the start of Christ’s kingdom on earth and the takeover of earth’s Satanic kingdoms saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever. ”
Additionally in Revelation 11:17, the 24 Elders rejoice and announce that God has “begun to reign” and after God’s 7 Bowls of Wrath, an additional heavenly announcement is made at Revelation 19:6 that the “Lord our God the Almighty reigns!”
These announcements are very important to God because He devotes over 13 different Chapters in the scriptures where He provides more details around His takeover and rule of the earth from Satan’s nations and governments.

List of Scripture Scriptures that state / announce, “The Lord reigns!”

1. Revelation 11:15-17, “Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever. ”
   16 And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
   17 saying, “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.
2. Revelation 19:6, “Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.”
3. 1 Chronicles 16:31, “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
4. Psalms 96:10, “Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!“
5. Psalms 97:1, “The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!
6. Psalms 99:1, “The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
7. Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
8. Psalms 47:8, God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
9. Isaiah 24:23, “Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.”
10. Psalms 29:10, “The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king forever.”
11. Psalms 9:7,  “But the LORD sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice.”
12. Psalms 110:2, “The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
13. Psalms 93:1, “The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.”

The Lord Reigns!

1 Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of islands be glad.

2 Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
(Song of Moses / Lamb)
3 A fire goes before him, And burns up his adversaries on every side.
(God destroys this age by Fire according to 2 Peter 3 and the fire seen in God’s 7 Trumpets starting in Revelation 8)
4 His lightning lights up the world; The earth sees, and trembles.

5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
(6th Seal “every mountain and island removed from its place” caused by “great earthquake” at Revelation 6:12-14 and 7th Bowl mega earthquake where “every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found” at Revelation 16:17-20)

6 The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.
(Heavens glorifying God and His Son at Revelation 4:11, 5:12-13, 15:14)

7 Let all them be put to shame who serve engraved images, Who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods!

8 Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, Because of your judgments, Yahweh.
(God’s Judgment can be seen all throughout the Book of Revelation through His 7 Churches, 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets, 7 Bowls of Wrath and Great White Throne judgment after Christ’s 1,000 year reign.)
